Rabat - Mustafa Salma Ould Sidi Mouloud unveiled through his patriotic act failure of the polisario's indoctrination and propaganda, Minister in Charge of Relations with the Parliament, Driss Lachgar said on Tuesday.
Ould Sidi Mouloud voiced support for Morocco's autonomy initiative during his stay in his homeland, Morocco, among his relatives and tribe members where he enjoyed the freedom of movement, the Minister recalled during a show aired on the “AL OULA” TV channel.
"Ould Sidi Mouloud also saw with his own eyes the economic development and prosperity enjoyed in Morocco, notably in the southern provinces”, he added.
"It was his choice to go back to the Tindouf camps to defend the autonomy proposal”, he underlined, criticizing some organizations, which claim advocate freedom of speech and the rights of the Sahrawis, for remaining silent regarding the blatant violation of the rights of a Moroccan citizen to the freedom of speech.
The Sahrawis held against their will in Tindouf have two alternatives today, either remaining hostage of a totalitarian regime, or joining their motherland where they can enjoy democracy and freedom, Lachgar said, warning of the schemes aiming to undermine Morocco’s territorial integrity.
Concerning the way some foreign media sources handled the abduction of Ould Sidi Mouloud, the minister deplored the biased coverage of the Al Jazeera Tv channel, which, he said, is rapidly losing popularity among Moroccan viewers.
